Wallace Hardware continued its 100th-anniversary celebration at the 2022 Fall Dealer Market, which took place Sept. 27-29 at the Sevierville Convention Center in Sevierville, Tennessee. The company and attendees got a special treat with Grand Ole Opry members Marty Stuart and Connie Smith performing at the event.
Wallace Hardware was one of Case Knives’ first distribution partners, and Case Knives, who sponsored the performance by Stuart and Smith, presented Wallace Hardware president Doyle Wallace with a prototype knife. Case Knives gave away a second prototype knife to a market attendee.
The company’s twice-a-year dealer markets give retailers the opportunity to buy for the upcoming season from hundreds of vendors, learn about industry trends and network with fellow industry players. Attendees took advantage of deep discounts, at-show-only deals and ideas to fill endcaps, circular and price image needs. They could also browse products from their favorite vendors, meet new vendors and take part in educational seminars.
Several attendees of the Wallace Fall Dealer Market left big winners through the Big Five Grand Prize Giveaways. Prizes included a $20,000 “Big Boy Toy” shopping spree at Mountain Motorsports, a pair of electric bicycles, a utility room set with a washer, dryer and freezer, $2,500 in merchandise credit or $5,000 store reset credit and $2,500 cash.
