Wallace Hardware Celebrates ‘American Pride’ at Fall Market

Wallace Hardware Inc., the wholesale distributor based in Morristown, Tennessee, celebrated 95 years of serving independent retailers at its recent fall market, held Oct. 11-13 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

To celebrate its long history and its commitment to American retailers, the theme at the event was “American Pride” and featured American food, live entertainment with American Pride: A Statler Brothers Tribute band and prizes, including a 2017 Chevy Colorado work truck.

A kickoff party launched the market on Oct. 11. During the event, Wallace Hardware Vendor Representatives of the Year and retiring members of the Wallace Hardware Dealer Advisory Board were recognized. In addition, PRO Group Inc. honored Yates Home PRO, located in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, with the wholesaler’s highest honor, the Paul L. Cosgrave Memorial Award.

Since 1922, the distributor has provided independent home improvement retailers access to over 40,000 products and retail services. Twice a year, the Wallace markets give retailers the opportunity to meet with hundreds of vendors, providing one-on-one opportunities to discover industry trends as well as new and essential products for their stores.
