Howard Walker’s True Value Hardware Grand Opening
Howard Walker’s True Value Hardware in Henrietta, Texas, officially opened earlier this month with a community grand opening celebration.
The store is located in the former Olsen Stelzer Boot and Saddlery building, a historic building built in the early 1900s. The store name honors Howard Walker, the father of store owner Julie Walker-Martin, who owns the store with her husband.
“We are thrilled to bring Howard Walker’s True Value Hardware to our hometown,” says co-owner Cory Martin. “This store represents more than just a place to shop—it’s a tribute to the community that has supported the Walker family over the years. We’re excited to be a part of Henrietta’s growth and offer a variety of high-quality products to meet the needs of our customers.”
The store sells a wide range of products, including lawn and garden supplies, housewares, automotive, electrical, plumbing, welding tools and more.
“We’re grateful for the warm reception we’ve received from the community and are excited to continue serving Henrietta with a store that combines small-town charm with a broad selection of products,” Julie says. “We hope to create a welcoming space where people feel at home and can find everything they need for their projects, big or small.”
Western Ohio True Value Hardware Spring Open House
Western Ohio True Value Hardware recently held its Spring Open House at all four store locations in Minster, St. Henry, Troy and Wapakoneta, Ohio.
The event featured discounts and spring activities designed to kick off the spring season for home improvement enthusiasts.
“We are thrilled to highlight our newly upgraded Milwaukee display, which we revamped this winter to provide our customers with the best tools and equipment available,” says Lee Kuenning, third-generation co-owner of Western Ohio True Value. “To date, we have invested over $110,000 in new inventory, including a brand-new concept store layout, designed to make shopping easier and more enjoyable for our customers.”
Western Ohio True Value also hosted No Tax Day on April 15, where the store covered the sales tax on all purchases, and plans to host a Greenhouse Opening Day to celebrate the arrival of spring with discounts on all live goods in the greenhouse.
“We’ve been excited to welcome our neighbors and customers to see the improvements we’ve made and celebrate the season with us,” Kuenning says. “Thanks to the hard work and stability provided by Do it Best, and the tremendous dedication of everyone on the Western Ohio Hardware team, we are well-positioned to meet the high demand for home improvement products this spring.”
