Sunshine Ace Hardware hosted their seventh annual Big Green EGGfest and helped raise over $33,000 for local children’s charities. Big Green EGGfest allows chefs, barbecue lovers and the community to come together and support charities in their community.
The beneficiaries of the fundraiser for 2026 were Northside Naples Kiwanis Club, United Way of Collier and the Keys, Rotary Club of Bonita Beach Sunset and Leadership Collier Foundation.
The event is held at Riverside Park in Bonita Springs and attracts more than 1,000 guests. It offers all-you-can-eat samplings, grilling demonstrations from Big Green Egg bloggers and grilling instructors, live music and alcoholic beverages. The event even includes a barbecue competition and attendees serve as the judges and vote for their favorite meats, vegetables and side dishes.
“What started as a fun end-of-season BBQ festival has become a tradition for local families as well as chefs vying for the title of grill master,” says Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “We’ve been sold out or nearly sold out every year since the pandemic, and it’s incredibly satisfying to see our cumulative fundraising total approach $200,000.”
