Do it Best retailers attended training seminars, a vendor showcase, product demonstrations and special buying opportunities this month at the Do it Best Corp. Winter Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The annual winter conference was designed to offer training opportunities for the co-op’s independent member-owners on best practices for enhancing their businesses, according to a press release by the co-op. The three-day event was hosted Jan. 22-24 at the Walt Disney World® Swan Resort.
The winter conference training sessions provided practical insights to help members grow, the press release says. Topics included consumer engagement, retailing trends and improved marketing campaigns. The sessions were led by Doug Fleener, a veteran retailer with more than 25 years of experience working with companies including The Sharper Image and Bose Corporation; Kevin Graff, author and president of Graff Retail; and Jon Schallert, a business expert and owner of a retail consulting firm.
Joe Collings, owner of Ferguson Do it Best Lumber in Veedersburg, Indiana, has attended the winter Ccnference consistently for 30 years.
“We’re continually impressed by the valuable training opportunities offered here,” Collings says in the press release. “The conference provides us a fresh perspective on running an independent business and keeps us charged up for the year ahead.”
