With the Florida hurricane season in full swing, Sunshine Ace Hardware stores across the Southwest have created Hurricane Hubs, displays featuring critical hurricane preparedness products, to promote storm preparedness among the community.
The store unveiled the Hurricane Hubs at the beginning of summer, the start of hurricane season. The displays offer easy access to critical supplies that are necessary when it comes to hurricane storm preparation, including first aid kits, smoke alarms, life jackets, battery-powered radios, anchors for hurricane shutters, batteries, extension cords, portable charging banks and more. Throughout the summer, customers also entered giveaways for hurricane supplies to win a Generac Portable Gas Generator and hurricane prep kits packed in coolers.
“Many people wait until the National Hurricane Center names a storm before they start preparing, but now is the best time to assess your hurricane supplies,” says Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “Once we’re in the forecast cone, you should be making your final preparations—not checking to see if you have enough batteries and flashlights.”
