Welcoming over 28,000 attendees from 113 countries, spoga+gafa solidified its position as a key event for the global garden industry. Taking place June 16-18, spoga+gafa 2024 saw an 8% increase in attendance from the previous year, with the highest number of attendees coming from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, the United States and Australia.
“The success of spoga+gafa is proof of the trust and the support of our exhibitors and visitors. Precisely in these challenging times, spoga+gafa has proven yet again to be an indispensable and reliable platform for the green industry,” says Oliver Frese, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. “The positive response of the international trade visitors, the growth in the number of German visitors and the high quality of the discussions with our partners motivates us even more in our efforts to constantly further develop spoga+gafa.”
During the three-day event, the theme of “Responsible Gardens” was seen through the exhibitors, educational sessions and panels and product presentations. The barbecue segment also received special focus with new theme areas: From Budget to Luxury—BBQ for Every Wallet, Cooling World and Outdoor Adventure.

It offered a fantastic setting for live barbecue presentations and cookery courses. The innovations presented and the positive feedback of the participants show that the industry is on the right track in satisfying the growing demands of the consumers, while at the same time promoting sustainable practices.”
