International Garden Fair to Open in September

Spoga+gafa, the world’s largest annual lawn, garden and outdoor living trade fair, will be kicking off in September in Cologne, Germany.

The event, scheduled for Sept. 4-6 at the Koelnmesse Exhibition Center, will include more than 2,000 exhibitors from 60 countries, making it a meeting point for lawn, garden and outdoor living retailers and vendors from all over the world.

The show is broken up into four segments: garden living (outdoor furnishings and decorations), garden creation & care (plants and gardening tools and equipment), garden bbq (grill and barbecue products) and garden unique (high-end premium outdoor furniture brands). Products will range from grills to live plants to deck and patio furniture and accessories, and beyond.

The show is the place to be for retailers who want to learn more about the latest in lawn and garden and outdoor living trends, or who are looking for unique products in these categories.

Plenty of exhibitors have already signed up to attend the show, according to Katharina C. Hamma, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse.

“We are very pleased with the registration figures of spoga+gafa. The result shows that Cologne is the central marketplace of the green industry,” Hamma says. “With an expected 75 percent share of foreign exhibitors, we have once again reached a very high level. The high interest from abroad shows us that spoga+gafa is also the leading international platform for the presentation of the garden industry’s new products.”
