Hardware Retailing The Industry's Source for Insights and Information
The first of its kind, Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) announced it is officially opening its Retool & Supply hardware store on Wednesday, August 26th. In partnership with official sponsor and community partner Ingles Markets, this specialty retail concept is located inside the existing Pelzer Goodwill location in Anderson County, South Carolina, and is fully stocked to help customers add high-quality tools to their thrifted finds.
Retool & Supply will focus entirely on donated, gently used tools, hardware and more. Shelves are packed with everything from landscaping equipment and power tools to plumbing fixtures, hand tools and home improvement essentials.
“Modern thrift shoppers aren’t just looking for clothes anymore – they are also looking for sustainability and affordability for their hobbies, trades, and home renovations,” says GIUMSC President & CEO, Pat Michaels. “Retool & Supply gives these incredible items a second life, keeps them out of landfills and directly builds up our local workforce. It’s a win-win-win.”
Every product purchased at Retool & Supply directly funds GIUMSC’s mission to provide free job training, placement services, veteran resources and youth programs throughout South Carolina.
GIUMSC’s Retool & Supply adds to its expanding lineup of specialty store concepts across the Upstate and Midlands, including concepts like Auten’s Loft boutique, rePLAY sports store and SecondStory bookstore.
