Manufacturer Palram Americas is working with a distributor of specialty building products to sell non-wooden trim boards that can be painted, cut and used instead of wood.
The Palight Trimboard planks are made of polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, and are durable, without wood’s susceptibility to rot and damage from insects and moisture.
The distributor, Snavely Forest Products of Pittsburgh, is a recognized distribution leader in the wholesale lumber and building products industry. Snavely Forest Products will offer the full line of the Palight® Trimboard products.
“We’re excited to be working with Palram to bring Palight Trimboard to market,” says Clark Spitzer, vice president of marketing for Snavely, in a press release. “Palram is a dynamic, global company with more than 50 years of PVC manufacturing experience.”
Palram Americas is headquartered in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, and is a leading manufacturer of polycarbonate and PVC sheets, according to a press release.
“Snavely has a well-known and respected reputation for providing the industry’s best building materials and value-added services to their customers,” says Mike Morris, building products business unit manager for Palram, in the press relase. “We are excited about the tremendous growth opportunity this partnership will offer both Palram and Snavely.”
Palight Trimboard is covered by a protective film and includes smooth edges to ensure the product stays clean from manufacturing through installation.
The imitation wood is available in sizes from ½-inch to 6/4-inch thicknesses, and comes in full sheets, ProFinish™ profiles, corner board, bead board and more. Palight Trimboard also features a 30-year transferable warranty for residential projects.
