In an age of retail where consumers have countless choices on where to spend their money, building brand loyalty is an aspect of your business to take seriously in 2025. According to the Qualtrics 2025 Consumer Trends Report, 53% of consumers who have a bad shopping experience cut back on their spending.

The report also notes 45% of consumers attribute communication problems as part of poor customer service experiences, 37% of consumers note pricing concerns and 21% of consumers attribute post-purchase support as part of poor experiences with customer service.

Ways to Improve Customer Experience

  • Find ways to solicit customer opinions on your store. Seek input using online surveys, newsletters, emails and face-to-face interactions.
  • Providing customers with the ability to earn rewards for money spent in your store can create a better experience for your customers and create a loyal following.
  • Host in-store demonstrations, workshops and special sales to create an interactive experience.
