Sears Experts Help Promote Lawn and Garden Sales

To promote its lawn and garden offering, Sears has expanded its Meet With An Expert service to help shoppers make more informed outdoor equipment purchases.

The free service allows online Sears shoppers save time by scheduling in-store appointments with experts who will already know the products they’re interested in and help them find the right lawn and garden equipment for their needs, according to the company.

In addition to promoting the expansion of its program, Sears has also announced its first Spring It On Black Friday event, which will be April 22-23, offering special prices on products for the entire home at Black Friday-level pricing. This is a move many other home improvement retailers have made. For example, Home Depot is in its seventh Spring Black Friday sale.

“From finding the right type of mower to a more powerful trimmer to the perfect-sized shed and more, Meet With An Expert takes the guesswork out of shopping for lawn and garden products,” says Joelle Maher, president and chief member officer for Sears. “Our new ‘Spring It On Black Friday’ sale event is a great time to meet these experts and get incredible deals on everything to get the yard in shape for spring.”

Sears’ Meet With An Expert service launched in the fall of 2015, initially serving only home appliance shoppers.
