Retailer Panels to Shed Light on Independent Industry

High-performance independent home improvement retailers will discuss industry economic conditions, obstacles to growth, technology usage and the next generation of leaders during the 2017 North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) State of Independents Conference.

Sponsored by the National Hardware Show®, the State of Independents Conference gathers retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and other industry leaders to discuss the current state of the independent home improvement industry and its future. The event will be held Dec. 7 in Chicago.

Similar to previous years, the daylong conference will include presentations of brand new industry research. Additionally, this year’s event will present four noteworthy retailer-led panels.

  1. Retailers Report on Performance and Growth Forecasts
  2. Dealing With Economic and External Challenges to Growth
  3. Hacking Home Improvement: How Independent Retailers Are Responding to Technology’s Impact on the Market
  4. Meet the New Face of Independents

Attending the 2017 State of Independents Conference gives retailers a chance not only to provide feedback to industry manufacturers and distributors, but to connect with one another to share ideas and present a collective voice in the industry. Plus, independent retailers attend for free.
