Bob Taylor BBBS award_useBig Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) presented Do it Best Corp. president and CEO Bob Taylor with one of its highest honors in recognition of his leadership and his company’s 30-plus years of support of the organization.

BBBSA honored Taylor with its Charles G. Berwind Lifetime Achievement Award, the top individual honor bestowed annually by the organization, at its National Conference Awards Gala June 3 in Philadelphia.

“I am both humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award,” Taylor says. “It’s a reflection of the generosity of our Do it Best Corp. vendors over the years and the tremendous volunteer engagement of our team. I’m proud of my involvement with this wonderful organization at both the local and national level for so many years. It has been an incredible experience, and one for which I am most grateful to everyone at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.”

Taylor has served as a key leader, volunteer and fundraiser for BBBSA since becoming involved with the organization in 2001, including service as a director on the national board from 2004-2010. In selecting Taylor for the Charles G. Berwind Lifetime Achievement Award, BBBSA highlighted a number of achievements, including ongoing personal support and national board leadership, spreading his passion for mentorship and philanthropy through his daily work at Do it Best Corp. and driving fundraising efforts of more than $2.1 million for the organization.

“Bob Taylor is a blend of positive influence and passionate leadership from which Big Brothers Big Sisters has greatly benefited over the years,” says Pam Iorio, president and CEO of BBBSA. “Bob not only contributes to our organization, he lives our mission of mentorship day in and day out.”

Created in 1990, the Charles G. Berwind Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have devoted substantial time and energy over the course of their lives to the cause of youth mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
