NHPA All-Industry Conference Connects and Educates

The North American Hardware and Paint Association brought together attendees from all over the home improvement industry for three days of education and networking at the NHPA All-Industry Conference. The conference, held in conjunction with the National Hardware Show (NHS) in Las Vegas, has been unable to meet in person for over two years and attendees welcomed the opportunity to meet with their industry peers face-to-face.

Highlights from the first day of the conference included a full lineup of speakers and panels, including keynote speaker Dave Rosenberg, who got the attention of the audience with his presentation on leadership and best practices for creating self-directed teams. Josh Prigge, a sustainability consultant with Sustridge Consulting, shared about creating a comprehensive approach to sustainability, including everything from employee engagement to consumer buy-in.

Day two brought additional speakers and panels, as well as recognization of the NHPA 2021 Top Guns and NHPA 2021 Retailers’ Choice Awards. On the NHPA Stage, Dan Tratensek, NHPA chief operating officer and publisher, and Grant Farnsworth, president of The Farnsworth Group, shared about the new paradigm for home improvement.

Day three wrapped up with webinars shared on the NHPA Stage and attendees has the opportunity for one final walk of the NHS Show floor. Beth Casson, event vice president for the National Hardware Show, was appreciative of NHPA’s role in this year’s NHS conference.

“The quality of the content on the NHPA stage has been amazing,” Casson says. “I’ve heard from a lot from people that they really value what NHPA does here at the Show for the industry.”
