LMC Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Leadership Summit in Seattle

LMC’s Leadership Summit returned to Seattle for 2026, celebrating the program’s 10th anniversary. The Summit prepares emerging leaders to drive growth, navigate change and carry forward the legacy of independent lumber and building material businesses.

The Leadership Summit brought together rising leaders from across the LMC network for a week of learning, collaboration and connection. Throughout the program, attendees explored how strong leadership serves as the foundation for long-term success, while gaining valuable insights they can apply within their businesses and communities.

This year’s event began with the Succession Preparedness Course led by founder, consultant and coach Natalie McVeigh. The course was designed specifically for individuals preparing to step into ownership roles.

“The goal of this course was to help the next generation start thinking differently about leadership, succession and the future of their business,” says Sean Tighe, LMC’s senior vice president of purchasing. “To me, the greatest measure of success was that attendees left with important conversations to continue at home and within their businesses.”

Attendees gathered at Pike Place Fish Market for the welcome reception, followed by several educational sessions focused on leadership, innovation and hands-on experiences. The summit ended with Chateau Ste Michelle, one of Washington’s premium wineries.

“The Leadership Summit continues to be one of LMC’s most impactful opportunities to bring together the next generation of leaders in our industry,” says Paul Thorne, LMC’s vice president of business development. “Celebrating our 10th anniversary in Seattle, where the Summit began, made the experience even more meaningful. The engagement, energy and willingness of our attendees to learn from one another reinforced exactly why we created this program. We are incredibly proud of what the Summit has become and excited about the future of leadership within the LMC network.”
