Latest spoga+gafa Design Trends

From June 24-26, 2025, the premier international garden and barbecue trade fair, spoga+gafa, will be showcasing the latest trends in the garden lifestyle space. This year’s show theme, “Design Gardens,” explores the following forward-looking design trends in the garden industry.

Inviting Spaces

Outdoor spaces are becoming second living rooms for many, with homeowners seeking the same comfort they find inside their homes outside. Warm, muted colored outdoor furniture define this trend, with products like handmade plant pots and dimmable outdoor lights fitting this theme.

Durable Design

Consumers are seeking reliability and durability in outdoor living products. Waterproof, weather resistant materials like natural wood, leather or concrete are widely used for products, and furniture design itself is reflecting durability, with clear shapes and ergonomic lines.

Natural Elegance

When stepping outside, many consumers are craving a relaxed and care-free environment to lounge in and want outdoor products exhibiting a natural yet elegant look, achieved with earthy tones, thin lines and organic shapes and a simple Scandinavian design feel fit this trend. Products made from teakwood or low dining chairs are examples of products reflecting natural elegance.

Sustainable Materials

The use of recycled plastics to produce furniture or accessories is rising in popularity. Materials like aluminum are used less, as consumers seek to reduce their carbon footprint and be more sustainable in outdoor spaces.

Creative Design

Creativity in modern garden furniture is a rising trend as well. Multifunctional products, like modular dining sets, elegant sofas or stackable tables and chairs, reflect this trend. Consumers can harness their creativity to design their ideal outdoor space.
