Jason Plummer Named 2020 Lumberman of the Year

The Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Association (ILMDA) has announced Jason Plummer, vice president of R.P. Lumber in Edwardsville, Illinois, is the 2020 Lumberman of the Year.

The award is the highest individual honor given in the Illinois retail lumber industry. Its recipients represent exemplify “selfless dedication to the promotion and professionalism” in the lumber industry, according to ILMDA.

Plummer is an ILMDA college scholarship recipient and the second in his family to receive this award, following his father Robert Plummer, who received the award in 2013.

Since entering the business, Plummer has chaired many committees and served on the ILMDA Board of Directors for more than a decade. He was instrumental in helping ILMDA thrive.

Plummer is currently the Vice President of ILMDA and will serve a two-year term as the president of ILMDA beginning in 2022.
