Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts in the Independent Channel

As communities across the southeast recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, independent home improvement retailers in those areas and beyond are stepping up and spearheading recovery efforts.

The Aubuchon Company

The company added supplies such as cases of bottled water and gas cans to a semi-truck traveling over 800 miles to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The supplies aimed to provide essential resources to communities impacted by the storms.

Elder’s Ace Hardware

Through October 20th, customers can round up their totals to donate to the Salvation Army in support of Hurricane Helene victims. Elder Ace will also be making a donation to support hurricane victims alongside its customers.

Gerrity’s Ace Hardware

Gerrity’s Supermarkets and Gerrity’s Ace Hardware are accepting online donations for Carolina Care-a-Van Hurricane Disaster Relief.

Mid-South Lumber Hardware & Feed Store

Mid-South Lumber Hardware & Feed Store is accepting donations at both locations and driving a trailer to the regions impacted by Helene.

Palmetto Paint Specialties

Palmetto Paint Specialties is collecting donations at both locations with the goal of filling two enclosed trailers. The operation will be transporting donations to Anchor Baptist Missions International Church in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina.

Oye’s Hardware

Oye’s Hardware is collecting items and monetary donations towards the purchase of new generators, supplies and chainsaws.

Solenberger’s True Value Hardware

In collaboration with Patton’s Movers and Solenberger’s True Value Hardware, Solenberger’s True Value Hardware is collecting items for hurricane recovery.
