Home Hardware Stores Appoints Chief Retail Operations Officer

Home Hardware Stores Ltd. announced the appointment of John Pierce to the role of chief retail operations officer. Reporting to Home Hardware Stores Ltd.’s president and CEO, Kevin Macnab, Pierce will oversee field operations, Dealer support functions, business development, real estate and construction, store design and space planning, Home’s Innovation Centre, communications, events and public relations. He will remain heavily involved in the formal review of prospective new Dealers as Home continues to grow.

Pierce is a retail veteran with over 25 years of experience in a national retail setting. Most recently, he served as Home Hardware Stores Ltd.’s vice president of retail business development, where he oversaw business development, real estate and dealer support functions and has been a key driver of the positive momentum in our business.

Prior to joining Home Hardware, Pierce held vice president and senior vice president roles with Loblaw Companies, including six years leading store operations nationally for No Frills, which is an operator-owned business model. He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
