Home Depot Launches New Mobile App Wallet Feature

Home Depot recently announced HD Pass, a new digital wallet feature available in the company’s app, allowing users to scan QR codes at checkout to link purchases to their rewards account, apply personalized offers, track spending and rewards and pay without a card or other tender.

“It took 23 cross-functional teams, hundreds of meetings, countless decks, alignment, design sprints, journeys, blueprints, prototypes, customer interviews, testing, iterations and endless feedback loops to bring this to life,” says Brian Irving, Home Depot’s principal user experience leader, in a LinkedIn post.

Currently, the HD Pass is only available to select members, according to the company’s website and is part of the company’s Pro Xtra loyalty program, catered towards contractors and professionals in the industry.
