At the Hardware Distribution Warehouses, Inc. (HDW) 2016 Fall Dealer Market in Little Rock, retailers found good deals on inventory and inspiration for generous giving.
HDW Unites Retailers to Support Veterans
The market’s theme was “Honoring America’s Veterans,” and attendees donated nearly $18,000 to support local Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and the VFW Foundation.
“HDW is fortunate and grateful to all veterans who have given so much to our nation. This was a way in which we could support our dealers, who in turn supported either their local VFW or the VFW Foundation,” says Kenny Beauvais, HDW President and CEO. “The majority of the funds raised for the VFW are going right back to our dealers’ local communities.”
Market Weekend
The three-day event had an increase of 20 percent in dealer attendance from the previous market. It kicked off with a social hour and live music by Iraq war veteran and up-and-coming country artist Nick Snyder.
During the final day of the event, the HDW Roundtable discussions took place, allowing retailers to discuss topics affecting the hardware and lumber industries.
