Hancock Lumber recently announced the appointment of Tim Bonenfant as general manager of the Saco operations.
Bonenfant brings over 23 years of retail management experience to Hancock Lumber, having led teams at Walmart and Home Depot.
“I have always known about Hancock Lumber and have had friends that shopped with them for years—but I didn’t
really start to think of the company as a career until the Saco location was being built,” Bonenfant says. “I admire how Hancock Lumber invests back into their locations to make them a destination for employees, customers and vendors. After doing my own research and talking to former peers of mine, I decided to check out Hancock Lumber as a potential ‘final step’ in my career journey. Hancock Lumber’s culture was evident from the start—‘Shared Leadership’ is not just a saying on the wall, but something that permeates all facilities. I have learned a lot in my first month with Hancock Lumber about the value of work/life balance, the importance of safety in the workplace and how Hancock Lumber empowers everyone to make decisions to benefit both employees and customers. I am proud to have joined such a great team and can understand why our company has been named a Best Places to Work for 12-plus years!”
Bonenfant and the Saco team will run the lumberyard, hardware store, kitchen design showroom and model tiny home operations at the company’s Saco location.
