Germany Plays Host to Industry Innovation Awards

If you’re looking for that little something different to make your operation stand out, the International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Germany, may have just what you’re looking for. As home to the ‘EISEN Innovation Awards, the International Hardware Fair showcases some of the most leading edge trends, products and education in the industry. Because many trends hit the market in Europe before they come to the U.S., this event offers retailers a chance to get the curve on the market.

New this year, The ‘EISEN CSR Award will recognise companies that combine economic success with social responsibility and environmental compatibility.

Dubbed the industry’s innovation hub, the International Hardware Fair honors the products in the categories including tools, fasteners and fixings/fittings and industrial supply.

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the International Hardware Fair, which runs March 9 to 12, 2014.

More than 2,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries will provide a comprehensive overview of products for the home improvement industry. Attendees will be able to not only view but also place orders for products.

“The International Hardware Fair is among Cologne’s most longstanding trade fairs, and impresses again and again with the internationality of both exhibitors and visitors, and the high level of innovation,” explains Katharina C.  Hamma, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse. “It’s a one-stop buying platform and therefore the ideal meeting point for buyers and decision-makers from the industry.”
