4 Tile Trends for National Tile Day

Coverings, North America’s largest global showcase for ceramic tile and natural stone, recently revealed 10 global tile trends for the year ahead in celebration for National Tile Day on February 23, 2025.

The trends range from warm-toned ceramic tiles to dynamic striped patterns and color-drenched tiles with captivating textures. Here are four tile styles to stock to align with the most recent trends.

Matching Coverings’ “Colors of Sand” trend, Zia Tile’s Field Thistle ceramic tiles are a warm, dusty rose color that come in a set of 150. Each tile measures 7.7-inches by 1.8-inches and are ideal for interior walls, shower walls and floors and pools or spas.

The depth and dynamic feel of stripes and lines are another popular trend in tile this year. These Via Black Subway Tiles from Tile Club offer a bold pattern to dress up any space. These tiles can be used on shower walls or interior walls and have a glossy finish.

Country Floor’s Rust Drip Textured Ceramic Accent Tiles come in a variety of colors and are most often used for residential walls, floors and backsplashes. These tiles are rectangular, offer a rustic texture and feature a beveled edge.

The Mikayla Glossy Ceramic Tile in Coral from Edward Martin provides a fun pop of color in bathrooms, ideal for backsplashes, accent walls or shower walls. The tiles have a soft sheen that reflects light well and each tile is 5-inches by 5-inches.
