ERetailer Summit to Connect Retailers, Vendors

The first Home Improvement eRetailer Summit will launch in October to connect home improvement manufacturers, distributors and online retailers who are interested in increasing online sales through collaboration and partnerships.

The conference is slated for Oct. 26-28, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is open to top retailers selling hardlines, housewares and building materials.

The range of North American retail companies that have committed to participating in the summit includes Sears.com; storage and organization retailer The Organizing Store; and Wakefern Food Corp., which supplies more than 400 grocery stores in the U.S.

Other online sellers stepping up to be part of the eRetailer Summit are HSN, which was ranked number 25 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide; BuildDirect.com, which ranked number 195; and SupplyHog.com, a fast-growing seller of building and renovation products.

“At BuildDirect our mission is to simplify the home improvement industry for suppliers and homeowners. We look forward to connecting and collaborating at the eRetailer Summit,” says Joseph Thompson, vice president of marketing and growth at BuildDirect, an online marketplace for home improvement products.

The eRetailer Summit will provide a forum for e-commerce leaders to share their vision and objectives with a select group of vendors.  A purpose of the eRetailer Summit is to help all sides work better together to optimize the Internet as a distribution channel.

“This summit was developed directly from customer feedback and the response shows that this event clearly fills a void in the marketplace,” says Sonya Ruff Jarvis, manager of Jarvis Consultants. She is organizing the summit with Hardlines Inc.

“We’re proud to offer an environment for these retail leaders to share their goals for increasing online sales with select supplier partners,” she says.
