Enyart’s Hardware, a beloved hardware store in Rochester, Indiana, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, complete with weekendlong festivities with customers and neighbors who have been loyal customers in supporting the business since its founding in 1975.
The celebration included vendor specials and live product demonstrations from brands like Milwaukee Tools and Scotts, a local radio station broadcasting live from the store, complimentary hotdogs and popcorn for visitors and a taco truck and elephant ear truck.
“We’re all about helping the customer when they’re working on a project,” says Janet Daake, owner of Enyart’s Hardware and daughter of the original owners, Emerson and Barbara Enyart. “We aim to provide great products and solid information, and we want to stay locally owned and serve our neighbors for decades to come.”
Enyart’s Hardware offered a sale of 20% off products storewide, excluding power tools and grills, alongside giveaways and limited-time deals. Customers could also obtain a commemorative anniversary bucket for $5 or free with enrollment in the store’s rewards program.
“We take pride in supporting Rochester’s contractors as well as DIYers,” says store manager T.J. Leininger. “The front of the store is for retail shoppers, while the back is fully dedicated to contractor needs.”
