The Do it Best Foundation recently gave back to its community by donating to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) during their successful Cookin’ Fort Wayne event. The Foundation gave $100,000 to RMHC in addition to what was raised through Cookin’ Fort Wayne.
“We are thrilled by the incredible support shown at this year’s Cookin Fort Wayne event, from the participating chefs and sponsors to the more than 750 attendees who helped make the evening such a success,” Do it Best Foundation executive director Curtis Smith says. “Bringing the community together in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana made for a truly meaningful event, and we’re proud the proceeds will help provide families with the support they need during difficult circumstances.”
Cookin’ Fort Wayne brings together 70 local chefs and more than 750 community members each year. With a ticket purchase, attendees can try many food and drink options and all proceeds go to RMHC.
“Every family who walks through our doors is navigating a medical crisis with their child,” CEO of RMHC of Northeast Indiana Jenifer Veatch says. “This partnership with the Do it Best Foundation and the funds raised through Cookin’ Fort Wayne help us continue our mission of keeping families close during difficult times and providing the support they need while their child receives medical care. We’re incredibly grateful for their commitment to the families we serve.”
