Anslum Hudlin of Waco, Texas, has been named Driver of the Year for the Ryder Dedicated Transportation Solutions business unit of Ryder System Inc. Hudlin drives for Do it Best through Ryder.
Hudlin’s 43-year driving career is marked by nearly 3.8 million miles on the road, including almost 600,000 miles during his eight years with Ryder. Before joining Ryder, Hudlin served in the U.S. Army for seven years as a senior heavy-vehicle operator, where he honed his skills and developed a commitment to excellence that has marked his career.

The Driver of the Year winners are selected through a rigorous review process by a committee of Ryder executives, safety experts and professional drivers. This year’s honorees were chosen for their exemplary safety, performance and customer service throughout their careers.

Beyond his professional achievements, Hudlin is also involved in his community. He and his wife have fostered over 70 children, and he serves as a deacon and youth director at his church. Hudlin also organizes fundraisers and a prom for disadvantaged students at his local high school and coaches Little League football.
