The Helpful Hardware Co. Wins Best of Forsyth Award

Darin Workman

With 19 locations under its umbrella, the Helpful Hardware Co. has garnered another award for its Ace Hardware location in Forsyth, Georgia. The store garnered the Best of Forsyth award, voted on by the residents of Forsyth County, for the tenth year in a row.

Co-founded in 2014 by Darin Workman with the help of his wife Gina, Ace Hardware of Forsyth quickly rose to prominence under their visionary leadership as part of The Helpful Hardware Co.

The Workmans have strived to provide unparalleled service and a comprehensive range of high-quality products, solidifying Ace Hardware’s position as the go-to destination for all hardware needs in Forsyth County.

“It is with immense pride and gratitude that we accept the 2024 ‘Best of Forsyth’ award for Best Hardware Store for the tenth consecutive year,” Darin says. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the unwavering support of our loyal customers throughout Forsyth County.”

That hard work, dedication and commitment has also led to Darin being named a recipient of the 2024 Georgia Titan 100 award.

The Titan 100 program recognizes Georgia’s Top 100 CEOs and C-level executives, who are chosen based on exceptional leadership, vision and passion. This year’s honorees will be published in a limited-edition Titan 100 book and profiled exclusively online, as well as recognized at an awards ceremony on May 9.

“The Titan 100 are changing the way that business is done in Georgia,” says Jaime Zawmon, president of Titan CEO. “These preeminent leaders have built a distinguished reputation that is unrivaled and preeminent in their field. We proudly recognize the Titan 100 for their efforts to shape the future of the Georgia business community. Their achievements create a profound impact that makes an extraordinary difference for their customers and clients across the nation.”

Under Darin’s guidance, The Helpful Hardware Co. has expanded from three original sites to 19 locations within a decade. Beyond his professional endeavors, Darin is actively involved in youth development, having served in leadership positions on various boards of directors and as a coach for high school football and baseball teams.

During his leisure time, he relishes moments with Gina, along with their five children and three grandchildren. His personal interests include hands-on projects, outdoor pursuits and embarking on scenic rides aboard his Harley Davidson.

“I am deeply honored to be named among the Titan Top 100 honorees,” Darin says. “Leading and nurturing the growth of my company and its employees over the past decade has been an incredible privilege. I extend my sincere thanks to Titan Top 100 for this prestigious recognition.”
