As one of the most famous people on the planet right now, Taylor Swift is everywhere, including the window displays of Vickery Ace Hardware in Smyrna, Georgia. Owner Susan Harlan says the Taylor Swift-themed window displays were put together by her daughter, Molly Aziz. Aziz works full time as a senior policy analyst for the Georgia House of Representatives and also handles all of the social media for the store.
The window includes nods to each of the musician’s albums, or “Eras,” and includes products sold in the store in the colors of each Era.
“The reactions from customers have been overwhelmingly positive,” Harlan says. “We have had more comments and shares on this post on our social media than anything else we have posted.”
Along with the Taylor Swift window, Aziz has created window scenes that included the window filled with green plastic easter eggs when the store first started stocking Big Green Egg, a wheelbarrow full of flowers and background of vines and gardening tools and a replica of the Atlanta Braves’ World Series trophy made entirely of hardware items.
“People love to see what she will come up with next,” Harlan says. “We are a stand-alone business, so we don’t get a lot of customers walking by, but we do get customers coming in to check out the window they have just seen on social media.”
