Aubuchon Company Expands to Rhode Island

The Aubuchon Company recently announced the acquisition of Wyoming Ace Hardware in Wyoming, Rhode Island. The store will be relocated to Richmond, Rhode Island and will be rebranded to Aubuchon Ace Hardware.

Rick and Linda Osborne, owners of Wyoming Ace Hardware, have agreed to complete the settlement on October 31, 2025.

“Rick built Wyoming Ace Hardware with heart, purpose, and a deep connection to the community,” says William E. Aubuchon, IV, president and CEO of The Aubuchon Company. “For more than 22 years, he’s created more than just a store; he’s built a trusted place where neighbors come together. We’re honored to carry that spirit forward as we open our first store in Rhode Island and reimagine it in a new location in Richmond.”

Following the acquisition, the Aubuchon Company will operate 131 stores across 11 states.

“It’s been an incredible journey building this store and serving the town I’ve been proud to call home,” Rick says. “What began as a dream turned into something much more, thanks to the friendships, memories, and sense of purpose we found in helping our neighbors. As I step into retirement, I’m grateful to pass the torch to the Aubuchon Company. They share the same family values and community spirit that have always guided us. I hope they find as much joy in this business as I have.”
