Ace Slated to Open 170 New Stores This Year

Since the beginning of the year, Ace Hardware, the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the world, has opened 110 new stores. The company is on track to open 60 more before the end of the year. 

“Our proposition for consumers is that Ace is the most helpful store on the planet; for prospective new store owners, our proposition is that Ace is the most financially and emotionally rewarding opportunity available,” says John Venhuizen, president and CEO of Ace Hardware Corp. “An essential business, rooted in people, that exists to serve others; we are blessed with local owners who genuinely serve the communities in which they reside.” 

Ace operates over 5,500 locally owned hardware stores across the globe, including in all 50 states and 70 countries. In the past five years, the company has opened 900 stores. The company posted record-breaking sales for the second quarter of 2021, netting $2.5 billion, up 8.2 percent from the previous year.
