Westlake Ace Hardware and Costello’s Ace Hardware announced the opening of new store locations in Missouri, Kansas and Virginia.

Westlake Ace Hardware

Westlake Ace Hardware announced it has signed an agreement to open a new store in Grain Valley, Missouri, and recently relocated a store in southern Olathe, Kansas.

The new Grain Valley store will feature nearly 15,000 square feet of retail space. Construction will begin in spring and the planned store opening will be in early 2026.

Westlake Ace Hardware is excited to open a new Grain Valley location and showcase our legendary service, helpful advice and the products customers need to get their projects done right,” says Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings, the parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware. “Being an integral part of the community is at the heart of who we are and we look forward to becoming a trusted resource for our neighbors in Grain Valley.”

The new 11,500 square feet Olathe, Kansas, location officially opened on March 28.

Both stores will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies, as well as offer services like key cutting, screen repair and blade and saw sharpening.

Costello’s Ace Hardware

Costello’s Ace Hardware recently announced the acquisition of Appomattox True Value in Appomattox, Virginia.

Mark Malkiewicz acquired the store in 1996 and has continued the store’s legacy of community service, helpful expertise and reliable home improvement solutions.

“It has been an incredible experience serving the Appomattox community for the past 28 years,” Malkiewicz says. “This transition brings exciting opportunities for our store, team and customers. I’m confident that the team at Costello’s Ace Hardware, with their family values and commitment to service, will continue to build on what we’ve created here.”

The store will see an immediate remodel following the acquisition and the introduction of expanded product lines, including brands like Benjamin Moore, Milwaukee Tools and Weber.

“We are proud to welcome Appomattox True Value into the Costello family,” says Michael Costello, CEO of Costello’s Ace Hardware. “Mark and his team have built a remarkable business rooted in service, trust and community values. As we begin this new chapter, we are committed to honoring that legacy of service our customers have grown to expect while enhancing the customer experience through expanded product and service offerings, and a refreshed store environment.”
