Ace International to Discontinue Support of Ace Canada Dealers

According to a letter sent to Ace Canada dealers this week, starting in 2025, Ace International will no longer support or supply Ace Canada dealers. The letter was signed by Ed Dentzman, Ace Hardware Corp. vice president of international finance. The decision impacts nearly 100 Ace Canada dealers across seven Canadian provinces.

The Ace license in Canada had been held by Peavey Industries. Peavey Industries announced in June 2024 that it would be ending its relationship with Ace International and the Ace Canada dealers with the license ending Dec. 31.

Peavey Industries acquired Ace Canada in March 2020, adding its then 107 stores to the Peavey retail family, acquiring the stores from Lowe’s Canada through RONA. RONA had owned the assets of Ace Canada since 2014, and Lowe’s gained the Ace Canada licensing agreement in 2016 when it acquired RONA.
