Ace Hardware Corp. has appointed Michael Magee to the position of president and general manager of Emery Jensen Distribution, a division of Ace Wholesale Holdings.
Magee will oversee strategic and tactical plans for growing wholesale business, including the development of marketing and commercial strategies. The company says Magee will be instrumental in expanding distribution and furthering the geographic expansion of Emery Jensen Distribution.
In the role, Magee will report to Ace’s chief merchandising and sales officer, John Surane.
“Mike is a strategic leader who brings a wealth of experience and new perspective to this role,” Surane says. “We’re thrilled to welcome Mike to the Ace family and look forward to the contributions he and his team will make to further grow our wholesale business.”
For the past 12 years, Magee led the commercial strategy for several consumer product companies, including Crayola. Previously, he has served in senior leadership roles at Newell Brands, Sara Lee, Radio Flyer and Seagram’s.
In November, Ace announced increased revenue and income in its third-quarter 2019 financial results.
