Ace Hardware Corp. recently announced changes to its board of directors.
This month, co-op stockholders elected one new board member and re-elected two others.
The new board member is Kristin Grunder, president and co-owner of Rome Ace Hardware, a single Ace store located in Rome, New York. Grunder currently serves on numerous Ace Hardware committees, including an input team that influences decisions related to Ace’s paint business.
The Ace Hardware board of directors, which sets strategic policy and direction for Ace management, is composed of a total of 11 people, nine of whom are Ace retail store owners and two who are external business professionals. Board members can serve for up to three, three-year terms.
Amy Kaplanis, owner and president of Country Ace Hardware in Granby, Colorado, was elected to her second term on the board. She serves on numerous committees, including an input team that influences corporate communications at Ace.
Stewart Elliott Jr. was also elected to his second term. He is president of Elliott Ace Hardware, a four-store chain located in the western suburbs of Milwaukee.
