Target Launches New AI Shopping Tools for Personalized Holiday Experience

Target recently announced the launch of new AI holiday shopping tools, creating a more personalized shopping experience for customers this holiday season.

The company launched its AI-powered Target Gift Finder, helping customers find gifts for people on their shopping list; a List Scanner, allowing customers to scan a handwritten list in the Target app to add items to their cart; and a Store Mode feature that guides shoppers through the store’s aisles as soon as they enter the store.

“We know so many of our guests love shopping our stores with their phones in hand, and when they use the Target app in-store, their basket sizes are nearly 50% higher as they discover more of what they love,” says Cara Sylvester, chief guest experience officer, Target. “We’re committed to making the shopping experience this year even more connected, personal and intuitive, with innovations that help guests discover the hottest items and Target products they love at a great deal. It’s all about meeting them where they are, simplifying gift-giving and helping families focus more on the joy of the season.”

Target joins the list of other companies that have adopted AI technology to enhance customers’ shopping experiences. Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot launched their own AI-focused tools earlier this year, offering personalized shopping assistance for customers.
