Husband and wife co-owners of San Diego Hardware, Hannah and Bryan Haynsworth, recently launched their own decorative hardware company, The Details.
After consistently observing manufacturers simply copy and pasting each other’s designs, the Hannah and Bryan say they were inspired to create their own cabinet hardware business.
“We wanted to create a brand that offered something unique people could get excited about using,” says Hannah, co-founder and product designer of The Details. “We wanted to create high-end pieces that were artistic and intentional—hardware that would elevate a space without overpowering it.”
The company, a separate entity from San Diego Hardware, offers 21 uniquely handcrafted cabinet knobs, pulls and handles made in small batches from recycled brass. The Details features four key collections: Avalon, Beacon, Descanso and Vallon.
“Every product in The Details expresses our passion for vintage design with a contemporary reworking and our mission to create fresh, elevated cabinet hardware that adds captivating detail to interiors,” Hannah says. “We’re committed to creating pieces that make a big impact both aesthetically and ethically, by prioritizing eco-conscious and ethical practices in everything we do.”
The company looks forward to continued growth in coming years. Currently, The Details is partnering with showrooms around the country and new pieces are set to release periodically throughout the rest of the year.
“We have a few designs in the pipeline that we are very excited to share with everyone,” Hannah says. “Ultimately, we want The Details to be the go-to for those looking for finishing touches to set their projects apart.”
The Details will donate a portion of every sale to nonprofits focused on animal welfare and environmental preservation, aligning with the company’s commitment to sustainability. The products are available through The Details’ website and at San Diego Hardware, and will soon become available at multiple other cabinet and hardware stores.
