Gerretsen Building Supply Celebrates a Century

In 2023, Gerretsen Building Supply in Roseburg, Oregon, celebrated a century in business with a community celebration. The event included vendor demonstrations and raffles for a variety of prizes including a wood pellet grill, rolling toolbox, saw kit and gardening tools. 

Attendees also enjoyed outdoor activities—a bounce house, face painting, cornhole, giant Jenga and Connect 4. Local food trucks served up delicious barbecue fare and attendees could try their luck at the dunk tank, with proceeds benefiting the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

“From contractors looking for a materials take-off or homeowners seeking the best stain for their decks, we’ve prided ourselves on helping our customers find the right solution for their building needs for 100 years,” says Gerretsen Building Supply branch manager Pamm Smith. 

Family-owned since 1923, Gerretsen Building Supply underwent a remodel that included a paint center with state-of-the-art paint-matching equipment, plumbing, electrical, hardware, lawn and garden, power tools and more—all of which has further enhanced their level of service, providing customers with the right solutions for their building needs.
