Home Depot Adds Home Decor Inventory

The Home Depot is adding home decor to its product offerings, Forbes reports.

In an email sent to customers, the company confirms it’s planning to add furniture, bedding material, wall decor, tabletop accessories and other home accents to its inventory.

Forbes reports that the addition of these products signals Home Depot’s desire to “take business away from existing retailers” and “further cement the store’s positioning as a one-stop resource for all things home.”

In December, the big-box home improvement store purchased The Company Store, a company that sells bedding and bath linens. It operates five brick-and-mortar locations in Wisconsin, Maine and North Carolina, in addition to its online store.
