Lowe’s Canada, Solar Brokers Canada and its affiliate Green Lion Eco Group have announced the formation of Lowe’s Solar, a new partnership that aims to provide customers with solar energy education and installation services throughout Ontario, Canada, the company reports.
According to an official press release, the program began as a pilot in select Toronto locations and is now expanding to all Lowe’s locations across Ontario. Customers can visit any location to speak with a trained solar consultant. The solar consultant will review installation feasibility at potential customers’ homes, provide information on Ontario government incentives for solar power and explain the ways solar energy can reduce homeowners’ environmental footprints.
“Solar energy is increasingly important in Ontario,” says Malcolm Parks, divisional vice president of operations at Lowe’s Canada. “Through this partnership with Solar Brokers Canada, Lowe’s is now in a unique position to provide a simple one-stop solution for Ontario customers looking for renewable energy solutions and convenient in-home installation options while also adding value to their homes.”
J.C. Awwad, chief executive officer at Solar Brokers Canada, says renewable energy technology is a vital part of making homes across the province more sustainable.
“We are confident that this partnership will make top-quality solar solutions accessible to many more homeowners throughout the province,” Awwad says.
According to the press release, Lowe’s Solar increases Solar Brokers Canada’s market reach in Ontario and supports Lowe’s Canada’s mission “to reduce the environmental impact of their home renovation and construction projects.”
