Dan Moulton, co-owner of Hanover Home Hardware Building Centre in Hanover, Ontario, Canada, has been honored again for his hard work and dedication as an independent retailer. In 2016, Moulton was selected by the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) as a 2016 Young Retailer of the Year. Now, Home Hardware Stores Limited is honoring the retailer as well.
Hanover Hardware Building Centre is a recipient of the annual Walter J. Hachborn Store of the Year Award from Home Hardware Stores Limited. Walter J. Hachborn, who passed away last December, co-founded Home Hardware over 50 years ago on the core tenets of value, service and dependability.
Now in its 20th year, the award pays tribute to the top stores selected from nearly 1,100 stores across Canada, according to the company. Winners represent the highest standards in retailing, merchandising, staff performance and overall quality and service.
The award was presented on April 3 to Moulton and his wife Emily, with whom he co-owns the business.
“We are honored and humbled to be selected as Home Hardware’s Store of the Year for Canada,” the Moultons say. “We take an active interest in our community and great pride in serving the residents of the Hanover region. This award would not have been possible without the dedication of our entire staff and team.”
