High-tech home products are a dominant trend at China International Hardware Show 2015 (CIHS 2015).
A walk through the event’s five exhibition halls reveals that integrating technology into all aspects of the home is perpetually growing in popularity.
Manufacturers, such as Siemens and Bosch, are displaying home appliances that integrate with the Home Connect app, which allows users to connect several appliances from various brands together with one app.
“You can control your household appliances from selected European brands easily and intuitively using your smartphone or tablet,” according to the Home Connects website. “Whether you want to preheat the oven from your office or you want to know whether your dishwasher needs some more rinse aid while you are in the supermarket – all these things are already possible with Home Connect.”
In addition to controlling different devices, Home Connect provides users with recipes, which can tell an oven the correct cooking temperature, and technical support, among other features.
Smart home entry systems are also a major trend at the show. Numerous vendors are offering different entry options that include keyless entry via fingerprint. Vendors provide the hardware in a wide range of colors, but gold and copper are the most prevalent at the event.
Besides technology, sleek and modern bath and shower fixtures are also abundant at CIHS 2015. The fixtures’ have straight lines and simplicity, for an elegant and artistic feel. In addition, chrome faucets and shower heads are popular, and many vendors are also exhibiting brushed nickel fixtures.
