True Value Company announced today that Busy Beaver Home Improvement Centers has joined the co-op as its newest member.
“We’re thrilled for our customers and associates that Busy Beaver will now partner with True Value,” Busy Beaver CEO Joe Kallen says. “Busy Beaver and True Value are both focused on transformational change to better serve our customers; this fundamental alignment in strategy is what sold us on selecting True Value as our growth partner.”
Busy Beaver was founded in 1962 in Pittsburgh as a distributor of roofing, lumber and building material products to professional contractors and do it yourself customers. Today, the regional chain operates 16 full-line home improvement centers in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
True Value’s Cleveland Regional Distribution Center will service Busy Beaver. The chain’s home improvement centers will join more than 20 other independently owned and operated True Value stores operating in the Pittsburgh area.
“We are pleased to welcome Busy Beaver to the True Value family,” True Value president and CEO John Hartmann says. “Not only does it support our strategic pillar of growth, it will also enhance our ability to serve our customers in the northeast– driving significant value for our customers and members.”
True Value Company, headquartered in Chicago, is a cooperative that includes approximately 4,400 independent retail locations worldwide.
