Companies From U.S., Canada to Attend 2016 International Hardware Fair

All eyes will soon be on Cologne, Germany, again—four months from now, over 2,700 suppliers from 50 countries will showcase their hardware and DIY products at the EISENWARENMESSE International Hardware Fair (IHF). The show will take place March 6-8, 2016, in Cologne.

The halls will be arranged by product categories in following areas: Tools, Industrial Supplies, Fixing & Fastening Systems, Fittings and Home Improvement Products.

As the leading European event, IHF regularly attracts export-minded U.S. and Canadian companies seeking worldwide distribution. Nearly 80 American companies and seven Canadian companies will make the trip to Cologne for the 2016 show. Among them are the U.S. brands Channellock, Cobra, Goldblatt, Honeywell, Little Giant Ladder, Tough Build and True Value. Canada’s exhibitors will include Cobra Anchors and Swift Green Filters.

More than 50 percent of the American companies will take part in product-specific U.S. Pavilions offered by Koelnmesse Inc., the North American arm of the organizer. The largest group, with 22 companies, will be located in the Industry Supply Hall 4.2. Additional U.S. group exhibits will be in the Tool halls (10.1/10.2) and Home Improvement halls (5.1/5.2). IHF is pleased to have the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) return for their 27th exhibition at the show. They will exhibit with seven member companies in the AHMA pavilion located in Hall 4.2.

“Our U.S. Pavilion program has really taken off, due to its convenience and the new look of our U.S. turnkey exhibits,” says Mette Petersen, president of Koelnmesse Inc. “Compared to the last event, we increased Pavilion participation by 21 percent. For the first time, we now also offer a U.S. Product Showcase, enabling companies with small budgets to be present in Cologne.”

There is still limited space available in the U.S. Pavilions and in the U.S. Product Showcase between halls 10 and 11. Inquiries should be directed to Darrin Stern at 773-326-9925 or d.stern@koelnmessenafta.com.
