The North American Retail Hardware Association’s logo will be biking across the country this year.
Bicyclists participating in the Fuller Center for Housing’s annual fundraiser, which is a 4,000-mile bike ride from California to Maine, will be wearing jerseys with NRHA’s logo printed on the right sleeves.
NRHA provides $1,000 matching grants to help fund Fuller Center projects to rehab or build houses for needy families. The grants pay for project materials bought at local independent hardware stores.
The shirts honor NRHA’s investment in the nonprofit organization, according to Chris Johnson, director of communications for the Fuller Center.
The trip will take from June to August and cross 14 states. Volunteers can sign up for the coast-to-coast ride or take shorter trips. The Fuller Center’s fundraising goal for the bike rides is $200,000.
