Lowe’s Canada, the Toronto-based division of Lowe’s Companies Inc., recently named Gregor Stuart vice president for supply chain.
Stuart is joining a team that is looking to expand the big-box retailer’s presence in Canada. He comes to Lowe’s with more than 25 years of logistics and supply chain experience in the retail industry.
The big box retailer is focusing on growth and expanding its footprint in the country by adding a a new distribution center and increasing its store count from 40 to 54, according to The Wall Street Journal. Twelve of the new stores will be located in former Target Canada locations.
Gregor will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain function and distribution center, according to Lowe’s Canada. In November, the company will be transitioning to a new 1.3 million-square-foot distribution facility in Milton, Ontario.
