Saleslink, an organization that represents hardware manufacturers, has announced it is acquiring a similar organization, Group MW, effective April 1.
Both organizations provide sales and marketing expertise for suppliers of consumer products to wholesalers and retailers, including brick-and-mortar and e-commerce businesses.
“All of us at Saleslink are excited to partner with the great brands and products that comprise the Group MW portfolio,” Greg Kowieski, president of Saleslink, says. “We have been exploring this acquisition for close to a year and we are thrilled to add the expertise and knowledge that the Group MW organization brings.”
Group MW has been in business for 32 years and represents suppliers in many common product categories. Its customers include Ace Hardware; Do it Best Corp.; House-Hasson; True Value; Orgill; Sears; Rural King; Aldi; Kohl’s; Meijer; Walgreens and many more. Some of the brands that Group MW has represented include Black & Decker Appliances; Heath Zenith; The TORO Co. and Ultralife Batteries. Darrell Wabschall and Jerry Mills are co-owners of Group MW.
“Jerry and I have enjoyed many years building our organization,” Wabschall says. “We feel the time is right to bring our principles a national presence with a talented sales force throughout the U.S.”
“We are pleased with the synergies between our two organizations,” Mills says. “Together we believe we bring powerful value-added services for our principles and customers.”
Key personnel from Group MW will work with the Saleslink team in Carol Stream, Illinois.
