Do It Best Corp. Selects New Sales and Business Development VP

resizedDo it Best Corp. has announced Nick Talarico will assume the role of vice president of sales and business development. He will replace Jay Brown, who will retire from the position on Dec. 31.

In this position, he will lead a team of sales consultants to help retailers grow their businesses. Talarico will oversee the retail performance and field sales teams. Additionally, he will oversee member services, INCOM distributor supply, and the international department.

Previously, Talarico worked for Crowe Horwath LLP, serving as an outside auditor for Do It Best Corp. He joined the co-op in 2009 as the Manager of Internal Audit. Over the course of five years, he gained experience working and consulting with the board of directors, member-owners, the executive leadership team and across all divisions to enhance the co-op’s processes and practices. He was promoted to Divisional manager in merchandising in 2014. He has used that role to help members choose and sell the right products.

“It’s a privilege to join the exceptional executive leadership team at Do it Best Corp.,” says Talarico. “I’ve really appreciated the unique member-focused culture of service we have here, and I look forward to helping our member-owners grow their businesses while welcoming new members into the Do it Best family.”

Overall, Talarico has more than 15 years of experience in sales, consulting and supply chain management. He earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

“On behalf of our leadership team and our board of directors, we are very excited to have someone with Nick’s proven track record stepping in to this critical role,” says Dan Starr, president and CEO of Do it Best Corp. “Nick has shown himself, time and again, to be a visionary team leader with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding results.”
